Her eyes look dead. That's what is bothering me. If her legs weren't bent, I'd think she was dead. And he looks like he wants to protect her from something, but he's too late. Or that he's clinging to her, but she's dead.

I've looked, am looking, and I'm not seeing death in her eyes.

To me she looks peaceful. Or is that resigned? But I'm gonna keep looking.
