Cool stuff. I like headgear on other people, but personally, about all I can stand on my own head are hats (and they're usually off within a few hours), and the occasional accessory like feathers or beads woven into a strand or two of hair.

I've always liked veils and shawls though, and how they look, and how versatile they are. Societal reasons aside, they've always seem like beautiful bits of 'second hair', if that makes sense.

It does make sense! I think veils and shawls can provide breathtaking backdrops for jewelry, hands, and skin.

Oh, so much pretty here, the ladies and their headwear alike. I'm particularly in love with that gold-shot red sheer; what a lovely fabric. Mmmm, textile-lust.

:)

You and textile lust!

I keep thinking that you, roguewords, and neadods would have long, beautiful conversations about fabric, thread, and costuming that would baffle me.

Delight y'all, probably though. :)

I adore that first shot. :)

Heee, oh yes, nothing sets me off like pretty fabrics...I've even spent hours babbling with a fellow costuming-ho doujinshi junkie over the most finicky details of TOTALLY IMAGINARY pretty clothes! XD

And is that Judi Trott I see in #35, in the white wimple?

You have got to see today's New Adventures of Queen Victoria (http://images.ucomics.com/comics/naqv/2008/naqv080531.gif) comic; it's right on topic.

Excellent!

And, many many thanks. :)

I debated putting up a picture of Victoria Regina. I think, after this, I shall. :D
