1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

This is me from a private project where I started taking pictures of myself in order to properly give my looks (in terms of photos) credit. Like, what do I look like in photographs? Do I hate pictures because I'm not as good looking as I think I am? I found that I have gorgeous eyes in my estimation. And, in that photo, I'm feeling good. (Thank you, creator!) I think everyone should have a mosaic icon of themselves.

Oh, I wish I remembered the name of this model. I'm not sure or not if it's Noemie Lenoir or Chrishell Stubbs. It's one of my wtf icon for posts and comments that range from ORLY to WTFMANG (suitable for honkeyshines, familiar entitlement stuff that hasn't enraged me and oh, that again, nice).

Mmmhm. I love this icon. It reminds me of Venice. A cleaner, pinker, imaginary spring-time Venice. It puts me in mind of flying buttresses, the most beautiful (white) man I ever saw (I followed him around the Louvre along with thirty other school girls), those rose windows at Notre Dame, why I like Fibonacci sequences, and that pink is a power. I made it from a some pyzam graphics. It also reminds me of wombs.

That's Jesse L. Martin. He's so pretty and smug here. But harmless. He also reminds me of Bill Cosby in the Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids aspects. I use it when I'm feeling particularly satisfied. Or happy. Or gleeful about being pretty, witty, or wise (and wiseass). 'Tis a general purpse HEE and 'it's good to be me/black/pretty/smart" icon.

Oh, isn't that lovely? I wish I remembered from where I got that graphic. Maybe zandz. It reminds me of life and power and love and divinity and creation and responsibility. And hope. As in: I am in good hands. I have good hands. You are in good hands. You have good hands. I am so grateful for you. Thank you for your gift of self. Yay deserved blessings. Grace is right now, etc. I could go on and on about it. It's my, yes I believe in you/me/God/us/the blessings of the Lord make rich and bring no sorrow.

[livejournal.com profile] spiralsheep gave me five words for extemporization. If you would like me to give you five words, comment, then elaborate in your own lj.

boots There's Monsieur Le Chat--the Puss in-- the hero of many a story, a doer of great deeds and this on behalf of a youth like any other save that of his extraordinary feline friend. And what did Puss ask for in repayment? Rocking beautiful clothes, namely a phenomenal pair of boots. I don't think I like sci-fi and fantasy as much as I like boots. Heeled or flat, leather or suede, half or full, I like them. When they fit right, it's almost like having bare feet, only once they're removed it feels *so* good. It's like, I don't know, the capstone to a fantastic day.

They're also probably why I watch sci-fi.

landscapes They interest me, though it's the rare painting of one that grabs me. The most amazing one I ever saw was behind some mossy wall in Eton. I wanted to jump over the edge and go plunging down into the gorgeous green as far as it'd take me. In the 2400 miles of road I drove North (not including the side steps) I saw much of the US. It'd didn't change much. But I like a panoramic view anyhow. Oh, Kentucky was probably the most beautiful country I saw on my way home.

communication Powerful means of manipulation and leverage. It's a highway to something. It's way tricky, often because people's understanding gets caught up in the echoes of similar words spoken in the past. Or in a different context.

snow I like it clean. When it's dirty I feel a thrill, though, that Spring's really on her way. I haven't lived with it since '97. I was hoping to make it to BC before winter hit the rockies, but practicing driving in icy, snowy conditions is better on the prairie. When I see it I think 'sky like pearls', and slow cold kisses with warm wet centers, and good food, and x-country skiing, and frozen poo gardens. I think, as long as it's snowing, the Earth isn't trying to kill me as it's still warm.

angels Way scarier than I like to think about as Isaiah fell over moaning 'woe is me' when one visited him. They're wonderful, and not made of play. I'm grateful for angels and am in awe that God gives them charge over us (I am not an atheist) and according to much Christian theology, there are those that can be deployed by us. I love that they are so awesome -- vast like planets in their power, and yet, submissive to God who is greater still. I like stories about them and believe in them. And I can't get over so many biblical accounts where face-to-face meetings with angels elicited terror. And they're God's servants. O.O

1. List your top six ships

2. Put all of them in order of your love for them; 6 to 1, 1 being your favorite.

3. Name their fandom.

4. Supply photos for said people.
 (If possible)
5. Tag six people. If you have OTP, why not do it?

6 and more )

From [livejournal.com profile] starlet2367 by way of [livejournal.com profile] tesla321

Post a list of your top five favorite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

These so didn't suck. I do some rewriting of them, but mainly, I try to close my eyes and imagine them happening.

Full, Star Trek: TOS, Sarek/Amanda. They're married. She's miscarried. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one. I love it because I think I did right by antsy spiritual thing. Like, I really wanted one of the reasons that Sarek and Amanda was together was in part because of 'The All' aka G-D. I wrote it for a long-ago Holiday Fanfiction project. I was working really hard to deal with the alienness of Sarek, and also, the alienness of 'masculinity'. And also, an abbie doctor. No one's nailed me with that one yet, but c'mon, his name's Tigertail! I was really in love with Peg and Macedon's talking stick circle. Um. And now, I'm aware that the presence of a native name doesn't make my minor character a native. But still. It's there!

Two Breathe, Angel the Series: It's Cordelia, Angel, and Wesley (OMG, Wesley, you heroic man you!) after the Season 1 finale "To Shansu In LA". It's the way I like 'em. And I amazed myself with the ending line. I'm really proud of it. And I think I nailed the character voices, and, I got to make fun of...well, all of them.

Just A Girl, Gatchaman. I don't care, I wrote a Jun who is a geek, science-freak, can't cook, is desperate for love, sensual, sensible, romantic, humble, proud, giving, and wild. At least, I think I did. I stitched this together from some drabbles written for [livejournal.com profile] nexus100.

Love Sponge aka ALG6. I didn't think Storm/Iceman was possible (ETA: until I read [livejournal.com profile] poilass's Rain!), but I roped [livejournal.com profile] kassia06 into writing (the still unfinished) "Days of Our X" with me where we tried to get from them being themselves to what you see in Love Sponge. I typed that with one hand covering my eyes, I was mortified. But, I thought I did a good job.

Drive or Fly, X-Men. Warren Worthington, Scott Summers/Jean Grey. I identify with Warren, okay? I've been there. But, unlike Warren, I didn't manage to be the bridesmaid equivalent. For story reasons, I think this is economical but dense. I tried to make every word count. And also, I like the first five. Juggling friendship and responsibility never gets old. And also, Jean so did used to kiss Warren full on the mouth. Just, not, with tongue. (I hope). And in greeting. And that never seemed to phase Scott, y'know? And I know the year for the Gullwing is wrong, but I consider Earth 616 to be an alternate of ours anyhow.

Hmm...who do I tag...?

OH!
