Well, this one's not starring Lome -- finding stuff by individual players is a little trickier; but Youtube's got tons of rugby vids that will delight the discerning manflesh conouisseur.
Here's a nice one from last year's World Cup that shows Tonga's Sipi Tau, Samoa's Siva Tau, Fiji's Cipi and two New Zealand haka:
Having spent many a happy hormonal evening scouring YouTube for the stuff, I'd have to say that this is still my all-time favorite rugby haka:
If you like that, I suspect that some of my favorite kane kahiko hula clips would be Relevant To Your Interests. ;)
A particular favorite, if you haven't seen this particular clip yet -- here's last year's Merrie Monarch Festival winners in that division:
Pretty much all men's hula is sexy in an athletic sort of way, but this piece is telling the story of a human chief who's trying really, really hard to seduce a goddess via dance, and it's just...wow, Hi'iaka managed to say no to THAT? Girlfriend was showing some *serious* willpower...
I think men are supposed to dance. Or something. OMG, how'd she not lick him senseless. *fans self* Mercy. Guess it'd take a goddess to stand firm. Or maybe she'd locked her knees so as not to fall over in a faint.
Well, she was supposed to be fetching him for her big sister Pele, and had promised to keep her hands off. Unfortunately there were all sorts of complications that delayed her getting back home with hottie Lohiau in tow, and big sis in one her jealous fits assumed it was because she'd stolen the man for herself. When they did finally make it back and saw that Pele had broken her own promises about not hurting Hi'iaka's friends and lands, all bets were off...
Capoeira makes me smile. Well, as long as nobody gets hurt.
:)
As for the gorgeous Hi-iaka and Lohiau, I think I read the story an account of that story. I think the first time I read it, I was like, "Maybe Pele isn't sure if she wants this guy and she was looking for a reason to fuss with her sister. But what do I know?"
There's so many different versions of that cycle, even ones where Lohaiau ends up with Pele in spite of it all! But I always liked the ones best where Hi'iaka stands up to her for going over the line, and Pele realizes her hot temper has gotten the better of her, and they bring Lohiau back from the dead for the umpteenth time and he and Hi'iaka live happily ever after for the rest of his mortal days. But she was one of my top ass-kicking heroines when I was a little girl, so I'm biased like that. :)
It reminds me a little of tai chi, the way the movements flow so seamlessly into each other. Or parkour, although parkour often has bits that are a little more...jagged? *waves hands about vaguely*
You're a Hi'iaka/Lohiau shipper!
...
YOU ARE A GENIUS.
Never thought of it that way, really; it's only in recent discussions of childhood identification with stories and such that it struck me that my earliest girlhood pantheon of strong heroines was essentially just Eowyn, Hi'iaka, and Mara from the Eloise Jarvis McGraw book. I'm a little envious of younger friends who've had so much wider of a range of girl heroes available to them
And yes, that's a fair cop. Lohiau was just such a *nice* boy, he didn't seem like he would be tough enough to deal with Pele's mercurial temperament. I guess of all her lovers I shipped her most with Kamapua'a, who as a temperamental demigod was better able to meet her on her own terms. :)
The forth photo reminds me of the ancient Greek vases with the heroes painted on them.
He is most certainly built. (Ooof, it would be such fun to do a photoshoot with him. It would be such fun to draw him. He has such a beautiful body with all those tattoos...)
Far be it for me to quote Chris Rock like scripture, but didn't he suss it out right when he said most women know, from the first hand shake, whether a guy's gonna fit?
And if they figure he's a great fit, they're shaking his hand and thinking, "Please don't let this man say something stupid and fuck this up."
Capoeira will make me quiet.
I've shivered at step shoes.
Those hula dancers made my hands hot.
*ahem*
And my weakness for Rugby players? The sport of thugs as played by gentlemen? (Iirc). Beyond telling. >.>

And I've never seen something as fast as those capoeira players.
So yeah, I was sitting there, mouth agape, staring at men.
All men should know how to move like them, instead, of you know, getting their lean on.
*coughs*
excuse me.
