whenever I think about the Watchmen movie, I get a bit stuck on vowels like, hooooooly shiiiiiiiiit! Cause, it's there! Like, the Veidt logo on the spray can! Veidt taking out a guy next to a fountain! MARS!! Manhattan being generally distant and kinda sad! Oooooooh my gooooooood!
From the teeny bit they showed, they really seemed to get at the heart of what that book was about. (And left behind the deeply eighties-ness of the art, which is to me less close to the heart.) Eeee! I squeak in excitement!
I miss the 80s art, but I know it wouldn't've worked. I can pretend that the women are made up like Laura Holt in Remington Steele and adore the rest. :D
