I've loved her ever since I saw Farewell My Concubine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farewell_My_Concubine_%28film%29) in high school. She's so beautiful.
I think the first film I saw of her was Jú Dòu) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099902/). I was mesmerized by the hanging lengths of red and yellow...and how unhappy Ju Dou was.
I *remember* that movie! I went through this period where all I watched was foreign films - especially Chinese ones. Thank God for Blockbuster always having at least one copy of most things - even in a small town!
